Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sunshine Drugs at Shores. In this role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, and delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicates well, and is passionate about helping people improve their health.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist in filling and labeling prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Receive and input prescription orders into the pharmacy system
• Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, refills, insurance, and general inquiries
• Process insurance claims and resolve third-party rejections
• Maintain accurate inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
• Prepare and package medications, including counting, measuring, or mixing as needed (if certified)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Follow all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Support daily operations and help ensure a smooth workflow within the pharmacy

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Pharmacy Technician License/Certification as required by Florida
• Previous pharmacy technician experience (preferred: 2-5 years)
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (PrimesRx)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
