Swoon is actively hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to join the team!

What will your day-to-day will look like?

• Map incoming requests and determine the roadmap for an experience platform
• Design, architect, and execute solutions ensuring successful implementation into an Agile environment
• Design and develop technical solutions creating and maintaining system architecture diagrams, documentation, and runbooks to ensure clarity, collaboration, and knowledge
• Be a leader; coaching, training and mentoring junior developers and engineers
• Implement automated testing and validation frameworks
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and improve our software development processes and tools, identifying areas for automation and implementing solutions

What’s Required / Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing software within a private or public sector product team
• 2+ years of experience in Engineering Management or Technical Leadership
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Vue, Python or PHP
• Strong software Architecture skills
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required

What else should you know?

Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

Direct-Hire – 12-month contract with possibility for extension or longer

Manager – will have 3 direct reports

Hybrid Role – 3 days a week on-site – 2 weeks work from home

Location: Tempe, AZ

Hourly Rate
