Hybrid Position - Graphics Entry Level 1 + Platemaker
Prepress Graphics - Entry Level
As a Digital Prepress Intern, you’ll learn to prepare layouts and images to be printed on offset and digital presses . Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work at a steady pace are keys to success in this entry-level role.
Platemaker creates offset press plates according to job specifications and established procedures using platemaking, testing and computer equipment. Performs quality inspection of plates to ensure they meet specifications and to identify any imperfections. Being a Platemaker maintains production records according to required protocols. Cleans processing equipment and maintains supply inventory. Additionally, Platemaker follows all required quality and safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Reports to Graphics Manager. The Platemaker works under moderate supervision. In addition, there will be opportunity for introduction to our automated graphics layout system for the right candidate.
