Are you ready to inspire the next generation of astronauts, scientists, and engineers? The Starborn Academy VR program is seeking six enthusiastic and tech-savvy Teacher Assistants / Program Facilitators to help deliver an innovative virtual reality (VR) space exploration program to 7th and 8th graders in the Salt Lake City School District.

This is your chance to be part of a cutting-edge educational experience where students embark on immersive astronaut training adventures. Combining STEM learning with interactive gameplay, this program equips students with real-world problem-solving skills while sparking a passion for space exploration.

What You’ll Do:

• Facilitate VR Learning: Assist in setting up and managing VR equipment to create seamless, immersive experiences for students.
• Guide Young Astronauts: Support students in navigating VR modules like zero-gravity challenges, rocket building, and crash landing survival on alien planets.
• Inspire and Educate: Foster a dynamic and engaging environment, encouraging curiosity about STEM fields and space careers.
• Support Classroom Integration: Work closely with teachers to incorporate VR into classroom learning and ensure smooth program execution.
• Event Participation: Assist in special events, including spacesuit training, a career and technology expo, and a field trip to the Kennedy Space Center.

Hours, Schedule, Pay, & Location:

This is a temporary job from February - April 2025.

Hours: Part-time work with hours varying between 16-25 hours per week on Tuesdays & Thursdays

Pay: $16/hour

Location: Must be on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah. Located at Salt Lake City School District Middle Schools.
