Job Title: Project Engineer

Duration: 12+Months (Contract#W2 Only)

Location: Remote for first 6 months after that Houston, TX

Role Summary:

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in delivering all phases of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site from design and construction to commissioning and start-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project delivery through design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Verify on-site work quality and ensure inspections and documentation are completed.
• Track permits, approvals, and utility coordination.
• Monitor project schedules, progress, and equipment deliveries.
• Maintain and update the project risk register.
• Process and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Update progress reports and bi-weekly performance curves.
• Prepare monthly quality reports and manage engineering turnover packages.
• Coordinate Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning with operations and training teams.
• Support project closeout and smooth turnover to operations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders — including operations, engineering, contractors, consultants, vendors, and validation teams — to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience delivering large-scale pharmaceutical capital projects .
• Strong background in construction management, commissioning, and system turnover .
• Experience working in cross-functional project teams .
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
• Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with CPM scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
