Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Estate Property Manager to oversee seven summer homes located on Lake Winnipesaukee. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all homes are ready by June 1st and to manage the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep throughout the summer season (June to September). You will also work on house projects and general property upkeep during the rest of the year. Please note, most of the work is done through vendors who specialize in the trades. Much of this job is project management, vendor relations, and keeping the family updated with clear communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance and upkeep of six summer homes, including overseeing subcontractors, building relationships with vendors, and managing small renovation and construction projects.
  • Ensure that all homes are ready by June 1st and handle any issues that arise during the summer season, including maintenance and repair of appliances, boats, and personal watercraft.
  • Maintain communication with the property owners and their families on a daily basis during the summer season and be self-motivated during the long periods of dormancy through the winter months.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a private estate/property manager , ideally in a high-end seasonal market (e.g., Martha’s Vineyard, Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake George, Nantucket, or similar)
  • Possess strong project management skills and experience supervising construction jobs and subcontractors.
  • Ability to understand and work with cars, boats, personal watercraft, mowers, snowplows and tractors, and other equipment commonly used in summer homes.
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, and able to work independently. Must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to work long hours during the summer season and adjust work schedule during the winter months.
  • Experience with property management is desirable.

Compensation: $100,000/year

The client is open to a candidate who requires relocation. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar setting with similar seasons/weather.
