Job Description

This role is ideal for engineers with academic or internship experience in spacecraft propulsion, aerospace systems, or embedded mechanical systems who are looking to grow their skills on real space missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of spacecraft propulsion subsystems, including component selection, integration planning, and performance analysis.
• Assist with propulsion-related testing such as pressure, leak, thermal-vacuum, and vibration testing.
• Work with senior engineers to create and maintain documentation for propulsion design, requirements, and interfaces.
• Participate in propellant loading procedures, component inspections, and ground test campaigns.
• Help troubleshoot propulsion hardware and software issues during integration and testing phases.
• Collaborate with teams across mechanical, thermal, avionics, and mission systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Internship or academic project experience involving propulsion systems, fluid dynamics, or space systems.
• Basic knowledge of propulsion technologies (chemical or electric), feed systems, and space environments.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following tools: MATLAB, Python, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment or testing setups is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to spacecraft propulsion systems through university research, internships, or co-op programs.
• Knowledge of industry-standard safety and handling protocols for propulsion hardware.
• Familiarity with mission planning concepts such as delta-v budgets or attitude control.
• Experience working with CAD models and technical drawings.
