Job Title: QC Manager - Public Works

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Compensation: $100,000 to $140,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QC Manager to oversee and manage multiple public works projects from our Las Vegas office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public works infrastructure, specifically with pump stations, sewer systems, water systems, and storm drain pipelines. The role requires significant experience in quality control and project management within the construction industry, having previously worked for a contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality control processes for public works projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Oversee construction and installation activities for pump stations, sewer systems, water systems, and storm drain pipelines.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, ensuring quality standards are met across multiple ongoing projects.
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality control plans, perform inspections, and monitor ongoing work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Construction Management (BSCM), or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the public works construction industry, specifically with pump stations, sewer, water, and storm drain pipeline projects.
  • Previous experience working with a contractor in the construction industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record in overseeing quality control for large infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Pay Range: $100,000 to $140,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
