Registered Nurse - Rochester, NY (#R10004)

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, best-practice care in a school-based setting. This role involves managing and maintaining student health, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, collaborating with various stakeholders, and fostering a healthy and supportive environment for students and staff, located in Rochester, NY.

Schedule of the Registered Nurse:

This is a Full-time position.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:

Provide oversight for school health services at assigned school sites.
Develop and monitor health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
Conduct health screenings, including vision, hearing, dental, scoliosis, and nutritional assessments.
Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide crisis nursing care.
Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with state and local health policies.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to support student health.
Provide health education to students, families, and school personnel.
Participate in 504 and IEP meetings to provide medical expertise.
Supervise and train LPNs and other support staff in specialized healthcare procedures.

Requirements

Candidates will need to provide a copy of AED and CPR certifications.
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Must have an active RN license in New York State.
National School Nurse Certification preferred.
Experience in pediatric or community health nursing.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
