Pay Range: $40 - $48/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Work Shift: PRN (As Needed) - Various Shifts (Must be flexible to cover days, evenings, nights, and weekends).
• Specialized Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients in behavioral health crisis.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans focused on de-escalation, stabilization, and safety.
• Deliver care with independent judgment within established protocols.
• Care Coordination & Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, security, and other team members to coordinate patient care.
• Prioritize daily patient flow and experience within the fast-paced ED environment.
• Patient Advocacy & Safety: Listen to patient and family concerns, serving as an educational resource on mental health issues.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality, particularly in sensitive situations.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, changes in condition, care delivered, and safety interventions in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory standards.
• Professional Leadership & Growth: Contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
• Foster the growth of others through mentorship.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and uphold the principles of shared governance.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Nursing, Emergency Department (ED), BLS.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire.
• Recent experience in Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related Emergency Department setting is highly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills.
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach is essential.
• Must be able to work a flexible PRN schedule covering various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
