Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Contract: 13 Weeks 
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours 
Shift: 4*10

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, individualized patient care, monitor patient status, administer medications, and support seamless transitions in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, nursing colleagues, and healthcare team members regarding patient status, care, and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications safely utilizing bar-scanning and electronic documentation technology.
  • Perform ongoing point-of-care electronic documentation, including patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Support multi-disciplinary discharge planning to ensure continuity and safety of patient care.
  • Assist in interventional radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures, promptly addressing any complications.
  • Maintain proficiency in sedation administration, patient monitoring, and emergency response protocols.
  • Rotate on-call responsibilities as needed to support emergency and after-hours procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience.
  • Strong ability to adapt to changing patient needs and clinical environments.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or multi-state compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association.
