Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant- Internal Medicine - SAGE Campbell
Compensation: $26-30 for Veterinary Assistants and $26-40 for Registered Veterinary Technicians
Hiring Bonus up to $5000 available based on experience!

• Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy.
• Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine service.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care treatments under veterinarian supervision.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their animal's condition and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.
• Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology.
• Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine through continuing education.
• Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation range: primarily determined by role and experience level

• VA: $26 - $30/hr 
• RVT: $26 - $40/hr
• Hiring bonus: Up to $5000 for experienced applicants!

Work schedule:

• 4/10 work week
• Saturday availability ideal
• Weekend and holiday flexibility required

Basic required qualifications:

• General understanding and experience with small animal restraint with a focus on cats and dogs
• High school diploma
• Calm, professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital.
• Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy.
• Understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs)
• Able to work well independently as well as with a team.
• Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Specialty Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on internal medicine. 
• Valid and current Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California.
