Job Description:

Nova Construction Services is a leading Exterior Building Renovation contractor in New York City. Nova takes pride in working on unique projects across NYC and delivering excellent project management. The company operates on the EOS system, empowering employees to dream big and achieve their goals.

Nova is seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in exterior repairs, restoration, and renovation. The Project Manager will oversee project scope, cost, and timelines through all construction phases until the final closeout. The ideal candidate should be a proactive problem solver, highly organized, and skilled in managing conflicts while driving project success through motivation, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project estimates in coordination with the Estimating Department to ensure accurate costs.
  • Review materials and products for long-lead items and research sourcing options.
  • Develop project schedules and forecast manpower needs to maintain budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate with the Drafting Department to ensure compliance with NYC laws and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation of shop drawings and fabrication details.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses in coordination with the Pre-Construction Specialist.
  • Lead or attend project kickoff meetings with architects and clients.
  • Conduct ongoing project planning meetings and provide progress updates to clients.
  • Prepare and negotiate contract time revisions and change orders.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to submit monthly payment applications.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to secure the required materials and supplies.
  • Ensure subcontractors execute their contracted scope of work.
  • Identify construction conflicts and risks, communicating them to the project team.
  • Oversee project closeout, including resolving all punch list items.

Requirements:

  • 32-hour Supported Scaffold
  • 32-hour Suspended Scaffold
  • 62-hour Site Safety Training Supervisor
  • OSHA 30
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Experience in restoration or a related industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications, and safety documentation.
  • Technical proficiency in building construction techniques and materials.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Procore is a plus.

Pay range: $98,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
