Job Description

Onward Search is a leading provider of specialized education staffing and talent solutions, dedicated to connecting educators, therapists, and school health professionals with meaningful opportunities at top-tier schools across the nation. We are currently collaborating with multiple fantastic districts in Hartford County, Connecticut in need of School Psychologists this year.

In this role, you will provide a range of essential psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role involves working closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Location: In-person only (no hybrid/remote options available)
  • Dates: ASAP through the end of the school year, June 2025, with the option to extend to the 25-26 school year
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Grade Levels: Various, K-12

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students' mental health and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
  • Offer consultation and training to staff on strategies to enhance student well-being and learning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students with special needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and mental health services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program (required).
  • Educator Certificate in School Psychology in the state of Connecticut
