Job Description

As the Scrum Master, you will support 1–2 Scrum teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement to build high-performing teams. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile values and principles to ensure quality product delivery and ongoing process enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Coach teams on foundational Agile concepts and practices.

• Work cross-functionally to support product vision, goals, and strategic solutions.

• Identify, manage, and resolve team-level impediments and dependencies.

• Collaborate closely with the Experience Owner (EO) and team members to ensure resources are available and effectively utilized.

• Act as an energetic advocate for Scrum and Agile across teams and departments.

• Step beyond traditional Scrum Master responsibilities when necessary to resolve issues and drive outcomes.

• Facilitate daily scrums, scrum of scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure engagement and adherence to Agile principles.

• Partner with the EO on sprint planning, story writing, backlog refinement, and prioritization.

• Ensure work requests are clearly articulated, prioritized, and detailed.

• Build strong relationships with fellow Scrum Masters and Experience Owners to deliver project objectives and foster continuous learning.

• Help teams remove impediments, self-organize, and focus on delivering high-value work.

• Maintain and prioritize backlogs at both team and program levels.

• Use metrics and retrospectives to track progress, identify improvement opportunities, and guide teams toward maturity.

• Identify and mitigate risks using Agile best practices and project data.

• Promote a safe, trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear and collaboration thrives.

Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple Scrum teams in diverse contexts (e.g., team size, organizational culture, co-located vs. distributed).

• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and requirements.

• Strong collaboration skills across business lines to drive efficient outcomes.

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
