An established construction-focused organization is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to take ownership of key accounting functions, including financial reporting, job costing, and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has a sharp eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting and analysis related to construction projects
- Manage job costing, reconciliations, and project budget processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers to enhance financial workflows and reporting accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA certification (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; experience within the construction industry is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of GAAP and job cost accounting methodologies
- Proficient in ERP accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying process improvements
