A premier international law firm is seeking a highly skilled Bankruptcy Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its Financial Restructuring group in New York. Work on high-impact insolvency matters across the globe, with a particular focus on Latin America and Eastern Europe.
A recent merger has put this firm on the map on a global scale, although the firm's reputation is rather regional. Very much substance over form, this firm boasts international clientele and a sizable New York office without much fanfare of notoriety. Key Responsibilities:
• Represent first and second lien lenders, bondholders, hedge funds, and other creditors in distressed asset and insolvency matters
• Handle contested bankruptcy litigation in U.S. and multinational jurisdictions
• Manage cross-border financial restructuring projects involving complex capital structures
• Appear before trial and appellate courts in major Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings
• Advise distressed companies and institutional clients in high-stakes restructuring situations

Qualifications:
• Minimum of four years of experience in bankruptcy and financial restructuring law
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar required
• Strong academic performance and prior large law firm experience
• Proven ability to manage complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions
