Senior IT Engineer / Technician – Office IT & Networking - Shape the Foundations of a New Global Network

Location: Dallas, TX (100% On-Site)

About the Role

Cortwo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced hands-on Engineer/Technician with a strong background in Office IT and Networking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and secure day-to-day IT operations across our office environment. This includes setting up and maintaining telephony systems, internet connections, VLANs, security controls, switches, wireless networks, and various computing devices. A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support office IT infrastructure, including: Office telephony (VoIP/PBX systems), Internet setup and troubleshooting, VLAN configuration and management, Network security controls (firewalls, endpoint protection, etc.), Network switches and wireless access point configuration
  • Set up and provide ongoing support & security configurations for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
  • Manage and oversee access control and video monitoring systems
  • Manage and maintain wired and wireless networks for optimal performance and security for the office premises
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and hardware issues
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for IT-related projects and support
  • Impactful role with room to grow and shape office IT operations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT and networking roles
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (can be substituted by equivalent experience & certifications)
  • Strong knowledge of: Office telephony systems (VoIP, PBX), Internet connectivity and WAN/LAN setup, VLAN setup and segmentation, Security controls and best practices, Managed network switches (Cisco, HP, or similar), Wireless networks and access points
  • Expertise in supporting and troubleshooting Windows/macOS computers and mobile devices
  • Familiarity with Office 365 or Google Workspace environments
  • Solid understanding of Office IT infrastructure best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, ITIL Foundation, etc. or equivalent
  • Certifications such as Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools
  • Experience working in fast-paced or startup environments
