Job Description

A New York-based healthcare organization is actively seeking a licensed professional to join their staff as their new Medical Social Worker. In this role, the Medical Social Worker will be responsible for providing vital social services to patients and their families.

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Monday to Friday (rotating Saturdays)

Specialty: Emergency Room / Psychiatric

Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities:

The Medical Social Worker will be responsible for:

• Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating data relating to medical psycho-social programs
• Formulating and carrying out treatment plans
• Initiating and/or following through in cooperative efforts with other members of the home care interdisciplinary teams
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Acute Care experience (New graduates will be considered!)
• Bachelor's Degree
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
