Honeywell Fire is looking for a talented Sr. Advanced Hardware Engineer who can lead hardware development of fire protection edge devices. In this role, you will use an architectural and platform design approach to design new products and maintain legacy devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop wired and wireless sensors and devices for fire systems
  • Design and develop products that are optimized for low power consumption
  • Design products that can meet regulatory compliance such as UL, CE, and FCC
  • Perform Engineering qualification analysis for pre-compliance
  • Write technical documents such as engineering specifications
  • Manage component obsolescence
  • Manage ECAD database and keep design documents up to date
  • Assist in QA process and troubleshoot factory/field issues
MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in hardware design and development
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in developing schematics and support layouts

  • Experience with Siemens EDA (Mentor Graphics)
  • Domain knowledge of Building Management Systems, Fire Systems, and/or HVAC systems
  • Understanding of firmware design principles
  • Agile, Scaled Agile, or Scrum experience
