We are seeking a Stationary Engineer to join our busy Facilities department in our Buffalo office. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the mechanical equipment and systems of our historic Guaranty Building. In addition, you will carry out routine and preventative maintenance, urgent repairs, and maintain all relevant logs. Our ideal candidate has as experience in:

• heating (boiler) and cooling system operations;
• plumbing and electrical systems;
• painting, carpentry, and construction;
• safety practices, procedures and building and construction regulations; and
• proprietary computerized building mechanical controls and management system.

First Class Stationary Engineer’s license from the City of Buffalo is required; Chief preferred, together with three years’ full-time experience working in commercial or institutional building maintenance with responsibility for mechanical systems; experience working within a historical building preferred.

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo is $49,200 to $63,000. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
