Our client is seeking an experienced
Structural Restoration Engineer / Project Manager to lead forensic investigations, manage restoration projects, and oversee teams in the repair and rehabilitation of structures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in concrete restoration and structural evaluation, along with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee structural repair and restoration projects from initial forensic investigation through completion.
- Conduct on-site building forensic investigations to assess deterioration and damage.
- Perform structural analysis of existing buildings to determine necessary repairs.
- Develop detailed plans and specifications for bidding and permitting.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection findings, and permit closeout documentation.
- Supervise field inspections during construction to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Manage and mentor field inspectors, staff engineers, and other team members.
- Assist in preparing proposals and reviewing reports created by staff engineers.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders to meet deadlines and expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements - Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida or ability to obtain one through reciprocity.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and execution of building structural repairs and restorations.
- Expertise in forensic investigations and evaluation of existing structures.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Skilled in coordinating with engineers and supporting team members as needed.
- Ability to engage directly with clients and provide expert recommendations.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, navigate building structures, and inspect confined spaces or elevated roofs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Extensive experience in concrete restoration and managing project teams.
