TIG Welder – Baton Rouge, La

Full-Time

**$26/hr **

**Monday-Thursday 6:30 am - 5 pm with potential for overtime. **

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, is currently hiring a TIG welder for a client in **Baton Rouge. **This client is looking for a skilled Architectural Welder. The ideal candidate will have experience with TIG welding and experience welding on aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities

**

• Interpret architectural drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements
• Fabricate structural components and decorative elements according to specifications
• Select appropriate welding techniques and materials for each project
• Operate welding equipment safely and effectively
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet design standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG welding.
• Ability to make visually appealing welds.

**SKILLS and EXPERIENCE: **

• Proven experience as a welder, preferably in an architectural or artistic fabrication setting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
• Welding certification(s) preferred

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

**

• Varying standing and sitting for extended periods throughout the day.
• Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
• Exposure to varying environments, including loud, hot, and smoke-filled areas.
• Working outdoors in a construction environment.

You should be proficient in:

• Tape Measure Reading
• Welding Setups for Production
• Blueprint Reading
