Job Title: Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Location: MIA / Pompano Beach Area (South Florida)

Job Type: Full-time | Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to close; some rotational on-call weekends

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable  Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead roofing projects across the Miami and Pompano Beach area. This is a leadership position requiring a strong focus on  crew management ,  project quality ,  safety compliance , and  client service . You will be responsible for supervising daily field operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Management

• Supervise roofing crews, laborers, and subcontractors
• Delegate tasks and monitor work progress
• Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
• Promote a positive, safe, and efficient team environment

Quality Assurance & Site Oversight

• Conduct regular inspections of job sites
• Maintain strict adherence to project specifications and industry standards
• Resolve quality issues promptly and maintain project documentation

Scheduling & Coordination

• Maintain a 2-week look-ahead schedule
• Track material deliveries and verify received quantities
• Schedule and manage inspections for each job
• Perform job site runs daily to monitor progress and performance

Safety Compliance

• Lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings
• Enforce company safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Conduct regular safety audits and site hazard assessments
• Report and respond to any job site incidents or injuries

Client & Communication Management

• Serve as main point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Maintain consistent communication by phone and in person
• Return calls and emails within 2–4 hours
• Meet regularly with project supervisors in the field

On-Call Rotation (Weekends)

• Participate in weekend on-call rotation every 3 to 6 weeks
• Dispatch crews on Saturday mornings (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
• Remain available for emergency calls throughout the weekend

Payroll & Reporting

• Sign off on completed work for payroll processing
• Log dispatches in Excel spreadsheets
• Monitor project costs and keep labor and materials within budget

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial and residential roofing
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems: BUR, TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Tile, and Sheet Metal
• Ability to identify and repair roof leaks
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and access rooftops as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills
• OSHA 30 certification (or must obtain within first 90 days)
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
• Must have a  valid Florida Driver’s License and clean driving record

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Must pass a drug test
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a motor vehicle/driving record screening
