Sustainability Manager

Location: Flexible / Hybrid

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sustainability Manager to lead the development and execution of our organization’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. This individual will design and drive programs that minimize our environmental impact while enhancing social value and ethical business practices. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability principles across business operations, including commercial strategy, supply chain, production, and human resources.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—such as employees, clients, suppliers, and community partners—to foster a culture of sustainability.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key environmental performance indicators, including energy consumption, waste management, and carbon footprint.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and promote the use of sustainable materials.
  • Lead efforts to set, validate, and achieve Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals for emissions reduction and long-term net-zero commitments.
  • Develop sustainability strategies across the product lifecycle—from sourcing and manufacturing to distribution and end-of-life.
  • Strengthen recycling and circular economy programs, expanding materials recovery and promoting awareness among stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain sustainability-related certifications and assessments (e.g., EcoVadis, B Corp, CDP, ISO 14001).
  • Prepare and deliver sustainability reports and performance updates to executive leadership and the board.
  • Oversee ESG and sustainability reporting efforts, including alignment with recognized frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Stay informed about evolving environmental regulations and ensure organizational compliance with local and international standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with sustainability reporting tools and data analysis software is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives independently and drive results.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and accountability.

  • Certified Sustainability (CSR-P) Professional
  • GRI Certified Professional

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, stakeholder engagement, site visits, or industry conferences.
