Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer with expertise in system integration for distributed multi-agent systems. This role is highly applied, focusing on hands-on engineering, software integration, and distributed system architectures rather than research.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and optimizing large-scale distributed software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of autonomous and multi-agent technologies. The role involves software development, system engineering, and collaboration across multiple teams, including working with executives and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Lead the integration of distributed multi-agent systems for autonomous and collaborative applications.

Design and implement scalable distributed architectures, ensuring seamless interaction between software, hardware, and networking components.

Work with engineering teams to refine and integrate software modules across various systems.

Develop and deploy distributed computing frameworks to support real-time multi-agent decision-making.

Troubleshoot system integration challenges, ensuring robust performance in large-scale applications.

Work cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and executive stakeholders.

Serve as a technical liaison between different teams to ensure effective system collaboration and deployment.

Provide technical leadership in software development and system architecture decisions.

Participate in strategy discussions on how to evolve multi-agent and distributed system technologies.

Write and maintain high-quality, scalable code in C++ and Python.

Utilize ROS/ROS2 or similar simulation frameworks for distributed autonomous systems.

Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, and validation of integrated system components.

Required Skillset:

4+ years of experience in software engineering and system integration, focusing on:

Distributed multi-agent systems

Autonomous systems and collaborative mobility applications

Large-scale software system integration

Strong programming experience in C++ and Python with expertise in system design and implementation.

Proficiency in distributed computing principles (e.g., networking, multi-threading, fault tolerance).

Experience integrating complex software architectures, including working with large codebases.

Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 or equivalent system simulation frameworks.

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or systems engineering.

Bonus Skillset:

Experience in multi-agent systems, autonomous robotics, or large-scale software engineering projects.

Patents or publications related to distributed computing, multi-agent systems, or software integration.

Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

Type: LSE

Duration: 3 years

Travel: Occasional travel may be required for demos and executive meetings in Japan.
