Job: Early Childhood (Infant/Toddler) Teacher

- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at the Children’s Center.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to meet children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs.
- Work well with others and fulfill responsibilities in line with the Center’s mission and goals.
Specific Duties:
- Follow the school’s philosophy and policies.
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Develop and implement an anti-bias, emergent curriculum.
- Meet children’s maintenance needs (feeding, diaper-changing, etc.) and provide snacks.
- Notify lead or associate teachers of needed supplies and communicate effectively with staff.
- Attend staff meetings and center functions.
- Assist with routine paperwork and complete monthly reports.
- Set and achieve job-related goals with supervisors.
- Respond to lead teachers’ requests and pass on information from parents.
- Support new substitutes, volunteers, and staff.
- Be flexible to assist other groups as needed.
- Respond quickly to urgent situations.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler care if applicable.
- 1-2 years of experience in a licensed Child Care Center or similar program; Infant/Toddler experience preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education, child development, and health and safety standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Computer competency; knowledge of Photoshop/Zoombrowser preferred.
