Job: Early Childhood (Infant/Toddler) Teacher

Type: Full-Time, Fully On-site

Pay: $51,000/year -- full benefits and tuition reimbursement

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at the Children’s Center.
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to meet children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs.
  • Work well with others and fulfill responsibilities in line with the Center’s mission and goals.

Specific Duties:

  • Follow the school’s philosophy and policies.
  • Supervise children indoors and outdoors, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Develop and implement an anti-bias, emergent curriculum.
  • Meet children’s maintenance needs (feeding, diaper-changing, etc.) and provide snacks.
  • Notify lead or associate teachers of needed supplies and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Attend staff meetings and center functions.
  • Assist with routine paperwork and complete monthly reports.
  • Set and achieve job-related goals with supervisors.
  • Respond to lead teachers’ requests and pass on information from parents.
  • Support new substitutes, volunteers, and staff.
  • Be flexible to assist other groups as needed.
  • Respond quickly to urgent situations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler care if applicable.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a licensed Child Care Center or similar program; Infant/Toddler experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education, child development, and health and safety standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Computer competency; knowledge of Photoshop/Zoombrowser preferred.
