Job Description

Technical Program Manager

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager to drive the successful delivery of their IT programs. This role will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing the delivery of projects executed by their development teams in India, supporting all areas of the business including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other critical functions. You will be a key driver in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Program Management & Delivery:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track and manage project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects by coordinating with development teams in India.
  • Monitor and report on project status, including key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Manage project scope and ensure adherence to agreed-upon requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication between business stakeholders, development teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and status updates.
  • Communicate project status and risks clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Partners and other members of the IT organization.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify and assess project risks and issues.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Track and manage issue resolution.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate testing and validation of deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security requirements.
  • Manage change control process.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Develop and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project artifacts are stored and managed effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Project Manager, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Proven experience managing offshore development teams, particularly in India.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project).
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in the energy efficiency or sustainability industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce or NetSuite ecosystems.
  • Experience managing projects related to Marketing, Sales, Operations, or Finance systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies.
