Job Description

CALPAK is seeking an experienced Warehouse Floor Supervisor to join our team! The Warehouse Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring that established standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed consistently. This role focuses on staff management, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Warehouse Floor Supervisor manages a team of Leads, Clerks, and other warehouse staff to support the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders for both Ecommerce and Wholesale channels. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to uphold company standards and drive consistent performance.

The Warehouse Floor Supervisor is integral to maintaining a high-functioning warehouse environment that prioritizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency. By leading with a focus on consistency and continuous improvement, this role supports the company’s commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Supervision:

  • Direct and monitor daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with established SOPs and workflows to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Address operational challenges promptly and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment with company goals.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to foster a culture of safety and risk awareness.
  • Ensure all equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is properly maintained and that team members hold the necessary certifications.
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise and manage a team of Leads, Clerks, and warehouse personnel, fostering a productive and cohesive work environment.
  • Train and mentor team members, emphasizing adherence to SOPs, safety practices, and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to support employee growth and development.
  • Manage staffing schedules to meet operational demands, especially during peak seasons.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), such as Deposco, to track inventory, manage orders, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and report findings to the Director of Warehouse Operations, suggesting actionable improvements.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, ensuring clear communication of goals, updates, and expectations.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings to review priorities, address challenges, and reinforce safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including shipments, inventory levels, and employee performance metrics.
  • Provide any additional support as needed.

  • Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment.
