A client in South Plainfield, NJ is looking to bring on a wastewater treatment technician to join their team. This will be a full-time position, working on a swing shift Monday-Friday 10am-6pm schedule with some weekends if needed. The pay for this role is starting at $18/hr. with overtime included. They will be working alongside the lab and environmental team, maintenance team, and chemical handlers. Their main responsibility is to operate the wastewater systems as well as perform routine maintenance as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting the solids handling process, chemical feed systems, and dewatering equipment, performing routine maintenance and inspections of all wastewater pits such as cleaning, adjustment of pumps/valves, gauge readings, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and adhering to all safety rules/regulations.
