Job Description

Role: Business Analyst

Location: Ottawa, NS (Remote)

Type: Contract

Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify stakeholders, including the client, project team, and end-users.
  • Perform business analyses of identity access management requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
  • Develop and document statements of requirements for all internal identity access management technologies.
  • Evaluate existing identity access management procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, and application subsystems.
  • Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, between new and existing systems
  • Analyze existing processes, systems, and data. Determine gaps and a path to resolve the gaps.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to the Identity Lifecycle Management (ILM) project.
  • Create detailed business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and other team members.
  • Establish acceptance test criteria with client for the ILM solution when implemented.
  • Support and use the selected departmental methodologies including future directional technologies such as PAM, ZR, and AI.
  • Knowledge transfer to IT staff, developers, and end-users on IAM best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the ILM technical project members and the business process owners.

Mandatory Qualifications:

1. Must demonstrate, using one (1) or more projects, a minimum number of ten (10) years of experience within the last fifteen (15) years.

The project(s) must demonstrate the same or similar to tasks detailed below:

  • develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives;
  • perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows;
  • evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, Application subsystems;
  • define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within Application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems;
  • establish acceptance test criteria with client; and
  • support and use the selected departmental methodologies.

2. Must demonstrate, using project descriptions, has experience in MS Office Suite and Business Analysis within the last seven (7) years, as follow:

  • Five (5) projects, each with a minimum duration of six (6) consecutive months demonstrating experience in MS Office Suite or similar tools
  • One (1) project with a minimum duration of four (4) consecutive months demonstrating PAM, ZR, or AI
  • Must have a Canadian university degree or college/CEGEP diploma related to computer science, information technology, or engineering or the equivalent as established by a recognized Canadian academic credentials assessment service.
  • A copy of the degree or diploma must be provided.
  • Federal security clearance at level Secret.
