Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an organization in Kansas City, MO, and assisting them search for a new Compensation Analyst. As a Compensation Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and managing compensation programs for multiple North American business units. You’ll partner with HR and business leaders to ensure compensation strategies attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This is a hybrid opportunity with two days in office every week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and administer compensation programs, including annual planning, merit increases, and guideline development for at least two business units.
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions and job code databases in collaboration with HR and management.
  • Evaluate new and existing roles for appropriate level, FLSA status, and salary range using internal and external data.
  • Provide competitive and equitable salary recommendations based on market analysis and internal equity.
  • Research and analyze salary survey data, track market trends, and advise on compensation structure updates.
  • Recommend participation in relevant salary surveys and assess data validity.
  • Design and manage short-term incentive programs.
  • Support HR and management with compensation-related projects, including process design, cost analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with FLSA and state wage regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years of progressive compensation analysis or total rewards experience.
  • 2+ years of HR experience.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA and wage regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in HR or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of compensation or total rewards experience.
  • 3+ years of HR experience.
  • Professional certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, CCP) preferred.
  • Experience with global compensation programs and market pricing.
  • Proficiency with compensation survey tools (Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
  • Advanced Excel and HRIS (Workday) skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
