The Delivery & Install Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient delivery, relocation, and installation of office equipment. The role also includes basic networking tasks, device installation, and customer training. The driver must adhere to safety standards and federal DOT requirements while handling equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely deliver equipment to designated locations.
Maintain DOT log books (electronic or manual).
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and state laws.
Pickup equipment during deliveries to reduce costs.
Install equipment (e.g., setting up IP addresses, downloading print drivers).
Provide basic customer training on equipment.
Participate in safety programs and meet productivity targets.
Communicate with customers about delivery and installation.
Ensure equipment is correctly configured according to documentation.
Safely load and secure equipment.
Capture customer signatures upon delivery.
Maintain professional appearance and safety standards.
Assist with inventory tasks and cycle counts.
Train new delivery drivers.
Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) as needed.
Required Experience:
Safe driving record and a history of safe driving practices.
At least two years of experience driving medium-duty trucks.
Experience with network installations and technical training.
Ability to handle oversized and heavy equipment.
Must be at least 20 years of age and meet FMCSR eligibility requirements.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and current medical card.
Working Conditions:
Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 100 lbs (may handle equipment up to 1,000 lbs).
Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and chemical solvents.
Independent work with occasional overnight stays during peak periods.
Pay:
$24.00–$25.00 per hour.
