Job Summary

The Elevator Repair and Service Estimator is responsible for evaluating repair and maintenance requests, researching parts, preparing accurate cost estimates, and drafting proposals for clients. This role involves close collaboration with field superintendents, mechanics, and the operations team to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in pricing, and adept at client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Requests : Review inbound repair and maintenance requests from clients and mechanics to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Research Parts : Source necessary parts, verify availability, and obtain pricing from suppliers to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates : Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and other expenses, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Draft Proposals : Create clear, professional proposals based on estimates, ensuring alignment with client needs and company standards.
  • Review with Superintendent : Collaborate with the field superintendent to review proposals for accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with operational capabilities.
  • Client Communication : Send proposals to clients, respond to inquiries, and provide clarifications to facilitate decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Operations : Work with the operations team to transition approved proposals into actionable projects, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Maintain Records : Document all estimates, proposals, and client communications for reference and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in elevator repair, construction, or a related industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in researching parts and pricing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
  • Familiarity with elevator systems or mechanical repair processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Base Salary: Competitive base salary with commensurate with experience.
