Job Description

TITLE : Housekeeper/House Cleaner

HOURS : 9AM-3PM, flexible hours available, occasional weekend or holidays may be required

POSITION OVERVIEW: House cleaners are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public spaces in between guest stays in our 3 cabins and 1 lodge containing 7 guest bedrooms, as well as cleaning other buildings onsite such as the restaurant and event spaces. Due to the upscale rustic nature of Seesaw’s Lodge, it is critical that housekeeping staff is attentive to details, be willing to go the extra mile to assist in providing an excellent experience to guests, and work as part of the overall team at Seesaw’s Lodge and Johnny Seesaw’s Restaurant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure clean guest rooms and public areas while adhering to the highest standards.
  • Provide quality customer service if/when interacting with guests and strive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow established guidelines.
  • Organize and manage time efficiently to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Communicate and collaborate with housekeeping team and management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and legal to work in US without a sponsored visa
  • No previous housekeeping experience necessary
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Possesses the ability to arrange and maintain guest rooms according to specific standards
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
  • Ability to carry up to 25lbs and walk up and down stairs
  • Abides by the highest ethical standards
  • Willingness to learn and ask for help when necessary
  • Reliable and flexible, reliable transportation if not living onsite in employee housing
  • Demonstrates ability to work on a team
