What We’re Looking For

We are seeking talented, driven Math Teachers with a passion for education. Teachers can expect to guide students ranging from grades 4 to 12. Strong aptitude for teaching in group, as well as one-on-one settings. Paid training and orientation provided.

Part-time and full-time positions are available. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications after completing our base-rate training.

About the Role:

Responsibilities

● Understand and learn MEK Curriculum standards

● Prepare and implement teaching strategies, assess student progress toward mastery

● Hone key math concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies to succeed in both admissions testing and AP exams

● Lead and manage efficient classes and sessions in group or one-on-one settings,

● Work with students to perfect analytical skills and practice problem solving habits to produce stronger test scores and faster problem solving ability

● Create a lively learning experience through MEK Curriculum, strategic instruction and effective use of teaching tools and platforms

● Have a team player mindset, with an enthusiasm for coordinating efforts with fellow teachers

● Develop rapport with, motivate, and inspire students toward excellence in their learning experience

● Teach or tutor other STEM subjects if knowledgeable in content

Education and Experience

● Have a four-year degree in Mathematics or related subject

● 1+ years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred

● Strong organization, prioritization, written, and verbal communication skills

This role offers flexible hours between Tues-Friday 1:00 pm-8:30 pm and Saturday 9 am-5:00 pm. Full time schedule is available after a 200 hour probational period. We may ask to work from either our Closter or Palisades Park location. We take your commute into account but we'd ideally want someone commutable to both.
