We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. You'll play a critical role in helping patients access their prescribed medications by working with providers and insurance companies to streamline the prior authorization process.

What You'll Do:
Initiate new prior authorization requests to providers.
Identify the correct prior authorization form for each patient's insurance.
Coordinate with prescribers and medical offices to gather necessary information.
Follow up with medical offices on the status of prior authorization requests.
Communicate prior authorization status updates to patients and providers.
Coordinate with medical offices to handle appeals.
Answer internal questions from other departments regarding prior authorizations.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Customer service or inbound call center experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, good judgment, and a focus on operational efficiency.
Passion for providing top-notch patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and cross-functionally.
Flexibility to work shifts ranging from 8 AM to 8 PM.
1+ years of experience with prior authorizations or insurance verification in a pharmacy (preferred).
Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims (preferred).
