PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Reports to: Project Engineer

Compensation: $110 - $130K + bonus

Your Role:

As a Project Engineer, you’ll lead project teams and coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. You’ll act as the primary point of contact for clients, jurisdictional agencies, and internal project teams, ensuring projects run smoothly from planning through construction. If you enjoy guiding teams, solving complex technical challenges, and seeing projects come to life, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor project team including E.I.T.s, CAD Designers, Technicians, sub-consultants, and contractors to deliver successful projects.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee technical and financial aspects of projects.
• Coordinate construction phase services, including site visits, bids, submittals, and pay applications.
• Identify, interpret, and resolve technical issues with minimal oversight.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain professional and ethical interactions with clients, teams, and partners.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility to obtain in the state of employment.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in land development projects.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and train E.I.T.s.
• Experience in technical writing, including work plans, contract documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Proficiency in AutoCADCivil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work in office and field environments, including site visits and construction coordination.
• Bonus points for experience with concurrent projects and eagerness to take on more responsibility.
