Registered Nurse – Primary Care

The Position: Provide direct patient care as needed. Handle triage calls, assist with case management, manage the process of medication refills, obtain insurance prior authorizations for medications, obtain prior authorizations for medical testing as needed. Calling patients with information regarding medical care. Provide patient education regarding their medical care. Handle operational issues as directed by the COO, Medical Director and Clinical Nurse Manager.

• $33.00+ Per Hour Depending on Experience

Requirements:

• Current and Active Pennsylvania License
• Primary Care experience strongly Preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Take Patient Phone Calls, Collecting Information of Chief Complaint, Signs and Symptoms, Medical History and Any Other Additional Information Needed for The Provider to Assess and Treat the Patient.
• Recommends Action Based on Protocol Up to And Including Calling 911.
• Calling The Patient with Any Lab Work, Imaging, Or Updates with Information Provided by Their Physician About Their Medical Care.
• Assists In the Provision of Direct Patient Care; Assisting and Supporting the Physician & Medical Assistant When Support Is Requested.
• Must Be Proficient with Phlebotomy, CLIA Waived Testing, Hearing Exams, Vision Exams, EKG's, Vital Signs, Wound Care, Medication Injections, Nebulizer Treatments and Other Nursing Measures.
