The Risk Analyst will support the Director of Risk in the administration of all insurance, vendor prequalification, and compliance processes. This role will be hands-on in collecting, verifying, and maintaining risk-related documentation, assisting with claims, and ensuring that subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals meet all insurance and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Insurance Administration

  • Assist in preparing and organizing documents for insurance applications and new project insurance placements.
  • Maintain up-to-date certificates of insurance (COIs), policy documents, and subjectivities in the company’s risk management systems.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor insurance compliance; follow up to resolve deficiencies.
  • Help prepare and distribute insurance documents (COIs, policy summaries) to owners, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track and compile supporting documents for policy audits.

2. Vendor Prequalification & Compliance

  • Assist subcontractors and vendors with completing the prequalification process and using prequalification systems.
  • Maintain the prequalification database, including background checks, safety records, and other compliance documents.
  • Issue compliance reports to project teams and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Monitor and resolve system compliance holds (e.g., Textura) for vendors missing required documentation.

3. Claims Support

  • Gather and organize documentation for insurance claims and loss notices.
  • Submit claims to adjusters and maintain ongoing claim status reports.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting claims trends and outcomes.

4. Cost Tracking & Reporting

  • Support the Director of Risk in maintaining insurance cost databases and tracking cost allocations across projects.
  • Help prepare reports on premiums, prequalification system costs, and audit adjustments.

5. Systems & Data Management

  • Enter and maintain accurate records in third-party systems (e.g., MyCOI, ProQual, Procore, Box.com).
  • Prepare recurring compliance and insurance reports for management review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, insurance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or construction administration preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with insurance or compliance platforms is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

This position is well-suited for someone early in their risk management career who enjoys working with data, managing details, and supporting complex projects. The Risk Analyst will gain exposure to multifamily real estate development, insurance programs, and vendor compliance while working closely with experienced leaders.
