A private, high-profile family based in California is seeking an experienced and professional Rota Nanny to join their established household team. This is a full-time rotational position (7 days on / 7 days off) providing primary care for a toddler and occasional support for an older school-aged child.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, deeply experienced in structured and fully staffed households, and passionate about delivering the highest standard of childcare. This role requires discretion, reliability, and an ability to adapt to a highly organized, fast-paced family environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the toddler; assist with the older child as needed
  • Maintain daily routines, structure, and consistency aligned with the family’s expectations
  • Collaborate seamlessly with co-nannies and household staff in a formal, team-oriented setting
  • Support educational, social, and creative activities to foster growth and independence
  • Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities within the home
  • Follow detailed household protocols and communicate effectively with parents and the household team
  • Travel with the family as needed (domestically and within California); must be comfortable with private travel logistics

Qualifications

  • 10–20 years of professional nanny experience, including ROTA or 24/7 coverage
  • Prior experience in UHNW, fully staffed households required
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development; NCS or related training preferred
  • Healthy, active lifestyle; strong swimmer; non-smoker
  • Professional, poised, and warm demeanor with high emotional intelligence
  • Comfortable in structured, formal environments with established systems
  • Local to California (Los Angeles or Bay Area) and open to travel within the state
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and excellent references required

Compensation

$150,000–$175,000 DOE

Includes health insurance, 401k, PTO, guaranteed pay, and uniforms provided by the family.
