Senior / Executive Medical Director, Pharmacovigilance

Type: Permanent / Full Time

This newly created position, reporting directly into the head of department, oversees all Global Safety activities for the company, including processes, compliance, and oversight of Clinical Trials.

Focusing on Oncology, this business-critical position is heavily focused on Risk Management / Safety Surveillance and will oversee the Safety / Risk profiles for all assigned compounds within the organization.

The company’s main area of focus is within Oncology, there a proven background in Clinical Development Safety (and Post Marketing work) in this therapeutic area is essential.

This company already has a highly capable group across the R&D team, and therefore someone with a proven leadership background (preferred) is key, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will be directly responsible for the performance and direction of the PV group.

Experience required:

• MD Trained (board certification in Oncology preferred)
• Excellent background in Clinical Safety/Risk Management
• Line Management preferred
• Ability to work comfortably in a “hands on” setting
• Can build, develop and motivate teams on a daily basis
