Job Description

Senior Product Designer

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

About Us:

Our client building the future of financial software, creating workflow solutions for accounting functions and financial operations. Our client's platform transforms decades-old processes, enabling real-time tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to be the de facto head of Design , operating as an individual contributor with full autonomy. You will work closely with engineers and customers to drive the design vision and execution. This is an opportunity to take ownership, make full decisions, and eventually build and grow a design team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the entire design process, from user research to implementation.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems.
  • Work autonomously with engineers and customers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews while actively designing and iterating.
  • Develop intuitive, data-intensive applications for B2B use cases.
  • Wireframe, prototype, and refine user experiences in Figma.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive product vision.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as the sole designer or in a highly autonomous design role.
  • Background in both early-stage startups (Seed - Series C) and some enterprise experience .
  • Expertise in designing large, complex B2B products —not marketing design.
  • Strong knowledge of design systems —building, maintaining, and scaling.
  • Experience with data-heavy applications and workflow software.
  • Comfortable juggling hands-on design work and strategic decision-making .
  • Background at companies like Loom, Palantir, Ramp , or similar high-growth environments.
  • Bonus: Experience in financial or accounting software.

Culture:

  • Seriously unserious – We work on serious problems but keep the workplace fun and laid-back.
  • Collaborative & curious – We love diving into esoteric accounting challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Flexible & supportive – Engineering teams work later; we offer dinner in the office for those who want it.
  • Team-oriented – Regular lunches together, unlimited time off (we ensure everyone takes at least a couple of weeks per year).

Why Join Us?

  • Have a huge impact on a live product with millions in ARR.
  • Build workflow software for financial operations , revolutionizing an industry dominated by legacy incumbents.
  • Work on high-usage products with users logged in 8+ hours daily .
  • Be part of a high-growth, high-autonomy team redefining financial software.
