The role...

Working with the support of an excellent team of analysts located in the firm’s UK and US offices, the experienced analyst will undertake strategic research focused on EHS areas of expertise. We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining our award-winning research firm and building a successful career in one of our growing research teams.

Success in the role requires a passion for technology and an understanding of the potential for it improve business outcomes and experience in producing high-quality written deliverables. Successful candidates will have the ambition to undertake a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research in collaboration with other analysts.

Our analysts benefit from our structured ‘Analyst Training Framework’ which offers 24-months of tailored learning which will equip high performers to progress to more senior analyst positions at Verdantix.

We are considering applications in the range of $80,000-$95,000 plus a competitive quarterly bonus.

What you'll be doing...

  • Conducting research projects based on the established portfolio of Verdantix methodologies.
  • Undertaking research interviews with senior managers and executives at technology vendors.
  • Building quantitative models to size and forecast technology markets.
  • Efficiently writing high-quality research documents in English.
  • Learning how to produce short reports on technology vendors based on technology briefings.
  • Working on consulting projects relating to EHS technology including industrial risk management, industrial wearables, market entry, EHS software selection, strategy consulting.
  • Lead client workshops and deliver speeches based on your research.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and work with sales colleagues.
  • Attending and speaking at Verdantix events and industry conferences.
  • Develop trusting relationships with senior industry decision makers.
  • Provide pre-sales and client service support to win business.
  • Coach and lead junior colleagues on research projects.
  • Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities.
  • Achieve and maintain thought leadership and a high profile in the relevant business sector.

What we're looking for...

  • Minimum of undergraduate degree with a preference for top-tier universities. Relevant degrees or a background in fields such as Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Mechanical Engineering are also of particular interest.
  • Ideal candidates will have upwards of 5 years’ experience, ideally gained at a consulting, tech research firm or worked in technology focused roles such as product managers or solution architects.
  • Experience in any of conducting technology research, business analysis and modelling, technology analysis, and presenting to clients would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas.
  • Proven ability to write reports quickly and proficiently for a business audience.
  • Quantitative skills and knowledge of Excel to manipulate large data sets and apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Familiarity with MS office suite to produce client ready analysis and presentations.
  • Perfect written English and fluent spoken English.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Proven ability to present to workshops composed of senior managers and industry conferences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and duration.
