We are seeking a highly ambitious and experienced sales trader to join our growing team based in New York.

Your Role in Our Growth

As a Senior Sales Trader at OTC Flow, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships in the environmental commodities space. You will drive trading activities, leverage your expertise to identify opportunities, and create solutions that help clients meet their sustainability goals. Above all you are the main driver of closing transactions and grow your own portfolio of counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trading Activities: Trade creation from origination until closing with own revenue (PnL) targets to achieve. Collaborate with internal teams to expand trading activities, with a focus on compliance-driven transactions in North American markets.
  • Market Development: Leverage relationships in environmental and renewable energy markets to deliver tailored sustainability solutions that support compliance and voluntary environmental goals.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze market trends to identify arbitrage and trading opportunities, ensuring alignment with company strategy and client compliance needs.
  • Strategic Solutions: Develop and propose trade solutions that facilitate compliance for obligated parties, with a focus on scalability and market impact.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent OTC Flow at industry events, building rapport with stakeholders and staying informed on legislative and market shifts impacting environmental commodities.
  • Commercial Excellence: Drive commercial strategies to scale OTC Flow’s North American presence. Lead growth initiatives, identify market opportunities, optimize client engagement, and align business objectives to deliver solutions and maximize profitability.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-7 years in sales, trading, or a brokerage role with an extensive professional network.
  • Sector focus: Proven track record of transacting in environmental commodities, with a profound understanding of the North American Renewable Energy markets (e.g. RECs, RINs, capacity, renewable fuels).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments; flexible and adaptable to market and regulatory changes.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, plus an uncapped discretionary bonus structure with quarterly payments. The final base pay may vary depending on location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. It represents just one part of the comprehensive and competitive compensation package offered to employees.
