ResponsibilitiesThe Imaging Services Supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of unit operations. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team building among staff. Facilitates communication among staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Supports and models preferred employee and employer profiles. Performs duties in his/her clinical capacity as needed.
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for coordination and supervision in the areas of:
Education :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Three years of experience in a radiology modality with at least one year as Lead Technologist or Imaging Coordinator preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current state licensure in Radiology or related Imaging modality.
A.R.R.T. in Radiology, and/or national certification in a related Imaging modality is required.
Skills:
Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing, scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.
Ability to manage a broad span of control through implementation of a self-directed team approach.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
