TIG Welder job at EthosEnergy East Windsor, CT, US

Job Description

EthosEnergy is seeking a TIG Welder to join our East Windsor, CT A&D gas turbine repair shop. This position is responsible for TIG welding repair of gas turbine components to specific processes by applying appropriate welding techniques; as well as the accuracy and quality of work performed.

Applicants must be United States citizens as per FAA regulations. Success in this role requires that one must be punctual, reliable and also have the ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times. Job Responsibilities

Routing and blending of welds and/or cracks
Control of weld wire logs
Manual TIG welding of parts per the GTAW-MA method
Work with Engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve weld related issues
Ensure that all work area and all work equipment adhere to HS&E requirements
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times

Required Skills / Knowledge

Demonstrated ability to uphold Company’s Policies & Procedures and HS&E policy including ability to interpret HS&E warnings
Familiarity with computer software (MS Office, Word, Excel and internet navigation)
Machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques
Basic power and hand tools
Good oral and written communication skills (English as per FAA regulations)
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5
Comfortability working in a team environment under limited supervision
Multi-tasking capabilities with ability to prioritize to meet company deadlines
Strong familiarity with basic measuring equipment
Results focused even when dealing with diverse, complex tasks for different jobs and projects
Demonstrated ability to solve mathematical calculations associated with repair work scopes
Ability to analyze and solve repair/overhaul problems
