Job Description

Position Summary:

Energy Access Innovations (EAI) is seeking a strategic and hands-on Associate Director of Learning & Development (L&D) to build and lead a centralized L&D function that supports our growing family of companies. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide learning initiatives, with a strong focus on leadership development, onboarding, compliance training, career pathing, and role-specific programs.

As a key part of EAI’s shared services organization, this role will work cross-functionally with HR business partners, business unit leaders, and subject matter experts to create a unified and scalable approach to talent development across all operating entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with enterprise business objectives
  • Lead the development of leadership programs for emerging leaders, mid-level managers, and executives
  • Create and manage onboarding programs that drive operational readiness and alignment across business units, enabling revenue-generating teams to ramp faster, improve time-to-productivity, and contribute to profit growth.
  • Develop and implement training frameworks for compliance, safety, technical roles, and customer-facing positions
  • Introduce career pathing tools and competency frameworks to support internal mobility and growth
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and business unit leaders to assess training needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Select and manage learning systems (LMS) and digital learning tools to enable scalability and self-service
  • Build and lead a small, high-impact L&D team over time as the function grows
  • Establish and track learning metrics, program effectiveness, and ROI to inform future investments
  • Support change management and engagement initiatives through learning solutions
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Organizational Development, HR, or related field preferred, or relevant experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience building L&D programs from the ground up in a high-growth or multi-entity organization
  • Strong background in leadership development, instructional design, and adult learning principles
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and blended learning strategies
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and ability to work independently
  • Experience in a shared services or matrixed organization is a plus

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a mission-driven company making energy more accessible for all
  • Play a critical role in developing the next generation of leaders across multiple business units
  • Help shape a scalable L&D function that fosters growth, performance, and purpose
  • Collaborate with passionate, values-driven team members in a fast-paced and evolving organization

Physical Requirements:

This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • 401(K) retirement plan
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Supplemental life insurance
