Job Description

One of our top clients is seeking a seasoned Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on involvement on the plant floor, and the ability to manage large teams while driving operational excellence and safety compliance. Ideal candidates will demonstrate stability, technical aptitude, and readiness for a dynamic startup environment.

There are night shift and day shift openings. Pitman schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in highly automated production supervision experience
• Experience in automotive assembly or similar tier-1, or solar, advanced electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing
• Exposure to Lean principles, Gemba walks, 5S, OEE, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage shift operations with minimal managerial oversight, ensuring smooth production flow and resolving conflicts effectively.
• Supervise and develop crews of 30+ operators, including lead hands, with accountability for safety, quality, and throughput.
• Lead onboarding and training programs aligned with SWI/SOP standards; promote cross-training and succession planning to build a flexible workforce.
• Drive safety performance as a measurable KPI (TRIR, OSHA, Lost Time, Near Miss) and monitor operational KPIs such as uptime, downtime, takt time, scrap, yield, and manpower.
• Maintain a strong presence on the plant floor, actively engaging with operators and equipment.
• Understand technical aspects of manufacturing equipment to effectively collaborate with technicians and engineers, escalate issues accurately, and translate technical requirements into clear operator instructions.
