Job Description

Koloma is a geologic hydrogen company that leverages its technology, proprietary data, and human capital advantages to identify and commercialize these resources on a global scale. We are developing technologies that will enable the production of low cost, 24/7 available carbon-free hydrogen. Our team is led by seasoned energy executives and world-renowned technical thought leaders. We are looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join us!

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field
  • 10-20+ years of reservoir engineering experience in oil and gas, geothermal, mining, CCS, or unique experiential fit to role
  • Strong technical background in reservoir engineering including phase behavior, material balance, volumetrics, transient analysis, and multi-phase fluid flow concepts
  • Creative out of the box problem solver with exploration experience working in integrated teams collaborating with geoscientists and engineers
  • Operations domestically and internationally including DST and production test evaluation
  • Able to create and work with tank and geo-cellular models
  • Experience with a wide variety of reservoirs including clastics, carbonates and fractured reservoirs will be a critical consideration
  • Experience with large data analytics and design of experiments
  • Experience working with Competent Persons Reports and Reserves Reports

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all reservoir engineering workflows at Koloma
  • Design and implement reservoir models to predict reservoir performance in various and sometimes novel subsurface environments
  • Perform theoretical studies on hydrogen recovery, migration, fault seal, column prediction
  • Modeling and identifying additional testing and analysis from PVT & SCAL studies
  • Assess subsurface characterization and value. This includes estimating ultimate hydrogen recovery ranges and developing single well and full field recovery models with production forecasting pre and post drill
  • Develop internal process to create SPE and SEC equivalent contingent and prospective hydrogen resources and reserves
